Gorgeous Large Green Art Deco Fiesta Platter/Cake Plate
This is a wonderful Original Vintage Fiesta Green Large Platter made by Homer Laughlin.
This piece has an Art Deco Appearance with Beautiful Deco designs at 2 ends.
In the book Post 86 Fiesta and it describes this plate as being introduced in 1992. Some call it a Round Serving Tray, others a Handled Cake Plate. It was the first piece of Fiesta that had no tie to the vintage Fiesta, but it has that great Art Deco look. It was made in 3 different variations of the rings on the handles and with 3 different weights. Some collectors want all 3 versions of the same color - this is Green. This is a rare find
There were four different back stamps, the back stamp on this platter is one that was hand-stamped on each plate.
This oversized platter is 12" across at it's widest and 11" at the narrowest and is quite substantial.
It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is a glazing flaw on the rim about 1.5" Long. Because it's on the rim it is hard to notice.
