Pitcher has the Tragedy/Comedy masks in gilt that are a theatrical reference.
The masks depict the happy and sad emotions that drinking wine can bring.
The masks have also been linked to the Greek God Janus which is known as the two-faced god of beginnings. It is said Janus lent the name to the masks
The handle is a pulled rope of glass and only the bottom makes contact with the pitcher giving an airy floaty feeling to the piece. This pitcher also comes with a pulled glass stir stick.
